Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

Yep. If I remember they ran the Gold Final earlier than scheduled, due to the weather closing in. Hinton didn't even take them around Peavine; they did a short formup and then boom...down the chute.

Coldest I've ever been at Reno...barely made it back over the Sierras to Sacramento.
Here's hoping for better weather this year.

My wife called me that day to tell me that it was raining like Hell at home, and that the weather forecast called for snow over the Sierras. Naturally, my oldest daughter and I were on a motorcycle. We bugged out at about 1:00 to be on the safe side. It started snowing in Verdi, and didn't let up until about 60 miles later on Hwy. 20 near Nevada City.
I've ridden for years, and have some really good gear, but I've never been as cold as I was on that day.
      Never again.

For those who have not read it, here is the great story about 2004 direct from Skip himself:

Nope. The timing chain itself is backordered, so it looks like we'll be coming in the trusty Camry wagon.
I thought about loading the KLR down, but with my *ahem* girth, and all of the camping crap, it just makes more sense to bring the car.
We'll be there on Friday night, most likely between 8 and 9.

Jeez, I'm gettin' really pumped up for this!!!
