There are a couple of rumors floating around about Cloud Dancer not being at Reno this year. Unfortunately, those rumors are true. During the engine race prep in McKinney, Texas, we detected some brass in the oil. As a precautionary measure we pulled the engine, and it appears the brass bushing in the wheel case is starting to deteriorate. Ironically, this is the third time in Cloud Dancer's thirty year racing history that we have lost a bushing in that same area. More ironic is the fact that all the engines were done by three different engine builders. It's a shame for Cloud Dancer and its crew in that she will be on the cover of the program this year, but won't actually be there. Oh, well, that's racing.
P.S., According to the Reno rules, our team can substitute an airplane before Tuesday noon. Anybody know anyone who has a fighter they might want to bring?
No not Furias, we already tried to rent that.
