Dago, but I'm pretty sure the speed is 502 or 504 with a best lap speed of 512 (new course measurement). The only year the Bear went over 500 and still lost.
One of the geeks will firm it up, just wait a day.

I believe in 1991 the average speed was about 490 mph on the old course. Tsunami,The Bear, and Strega screaming around the pylons leading the rest of the pack. Reno 2008 was a great week!

I believe 70Mach1 is correct for an Unlimited Gold Final.
Actual fastest Unlimited race was a heat race (6 laps as opposed to 8) from the same year - 507.105. Obviously, this was also Dago Red with Skip Holm piloting.
