RACE 15 "Furias"

I heard this weekend that the modified Sea Fury with the the 4360 motor (race 15) "Furias" was being sold to an un disclosed buyer here in the United States that plans to race her next year!

Anybody also here this or know who the buyer is?

Well from what I’ve heard after Reno it’s going to be cool when done. I did hear who the owner is and what’s to be done (which everyone will like) but I wasn’t told if it was secret or not and I don’t want to be the one spilling the beans…. Sorry
There was also some other awesome news I heard which I hope goes forward. Unlimited racing is definitely not dead yet.

I’m just getting all my video uploaded (8 to 9 hours of stuff) so I’ll soon be uploading some clips, so stay tuned.

It's listed as sale "pending" on Courtesy Aircraft website....dang it, I was already to buy it, all I needed was the money Look forward to seeing her at Reno next year, sounds like 09 is already lining up to be a great year, can't wait.

Furias looked like a decent deal on the Courtesy website.
But that is a big-boys airplane and needs a very dedicated owner.

A few years back I wondered if Unlimited Air Racing was in trouble.
Critical Mass was going back to stock.
Voodoo was going more stock.
Miss America went stock.

Now all of a sudden we have a Reno with 2 big-time Merlins, 2 big-time Wrights and a bunch of airplanes coming back next year.
Sports went faster than ever.
Even the jets were fun this year (Almost as good as the first year with the F86 and Mig, etc.) Go Delfins!

I personally still think the Unlimited class is in trouble. But thats just me.

I think it could be if RARA keeps implementing more "unlimited " rules that discourage inovation and one-off designs. JMHO

the rules haven't discouraged one off's they have forcefully eliminated them with the changes made. Anyway, a whole other topic....

I look forward to Furias returning for sure.

This was the fastest I found that she went at Reno. Respectable considering no really special mods(visible) other than the extra cubes. I think she's got a lot of potential. Someone spill the effing beans!!!
