    Re: Who's on first??

I don't usually do much kerosene-burner stuff at Reno, but got a few this year in interesting light...

And then there was this thing, which seemed to generate its own interesting light...

          Neal,

It's the paint they used on the airframe. An automotive paint that changes colors depending on what angle you're looking at it from.

The Fouga would change from gold to really dark purple - almost black.

I talked with the guys in the pits and they said the paint job cost more than the airframe!!

They also said that they were looking at putting in larger jets....

          Serge.

              Re: Who's on first??

I just thought I'd bump this thread up here in light of my questions about tastes in photo presentation. Anything here that anybody finds too light or too washed out?

              This shot from PRS...

I think the fuselage could pop more with different levels. The sun is really harsh here.

                    Re: Who's on first??

So a bit less bright in the fuse, but leaving the rest of the tonal distibution much the same? Is the problem you see brightness level or contrast?

The sun in June in Reno is really intense and harsh -- that's one aspect I was trying to capture. I'm always struck by how different light can be at different times of the year...

                    Anybody else??

                    N.
