...a bit of politics...crisis management..
In 1991-1994 Finland had a bank crisis just like USA and few other western nations right now. Government helped the banks and some banks disappeared, but now they say they are doing ok.
Some bankers and dealers got greedy and rearrangements needed to be done.
It is not socialism but democracy...common problems that affect many need to solved in any system.
Our depression started in 1991 and was over in 1996 fall. I remember my friend had to quit a sawmill and 40 people were put outa work in spring 1996..4 months later all businesses went up again.
Economical issues and ecological issues are here to stay...I think flying has to continue too, just how often you fly might change in the future. With some major innovations maybe flying will replace cardriving as people dreamed in the 50ies.
Being a conservative does not exclude green ideas does it !?
