The H.O.A. would be the least of my problems! I can imagine where the wife would want me to put that...
It looks like it is one step away from returning to the dirt. Back in the 70's and early 80's there were several in the air. In northern Cali it was normal to see one and sometimes two at airshows.

Since it is so rare, it will be nice if it goes to a good home, either a static display or the daunting task of making it flyable.
In no means is that a bag on the CAF. They do an awesome job. Some projects are just outside of their means, and outside of practicality for a group like them.

At one point, back when HQ was still back at Old Rebel Field, was this bird painted in Olive Drab/Grey, with red & white stripes on the rudder? It has been a long time, but I remember a B-23 sitting outside painted like that.

Yes, and it used to fly as well, until it was grounded by corrosion issues. I saw it fly at one of the Airsho's back in the late 70's.
