Re: Secret Warbird Collection?
A couple of years ago, I took the tour of the Boeing plant. Afterwards, I started driving around the airport, to see what was there, and happened upon the museum. I was totally surprised, had never heard of it. Let me just say, if you're in the area, make sure you take it in. He has some very nice airplanes there. Now we just need to get him interested in Air Racing.

Re: Secret Warbird Collection?
Hey now worries...it happens.
Been involved in both operations. Worked in the Legal dept. for Vulcan Inc. (Mr Allen's private equity parent for most all his ventures) for over 8 years and was responsible for may acquisitions for Flying Heritage Collection. The collection moved to PAE some years back and is a remarkable collection. Nothing like an exchange with ATF re: "So, exactly why do you want to import a German V-2 and what do you plan on doing with it?" Good times! Open to public on Fly Days. Several air race jockies pull the levers for Mr. Allen.
I've also been a Docent at Seattle's Museum of Flight for past 10+ years. Great museum, great collection. And yes, the Champlain A/C are on display in the Personal Courage Wing. Nothing to do with Mr. Allen.
If you're ever in the Seattle area give me a shout. Happy to give you a tour of the Museum of Flight and see what I can do re: FHC. Very cool having both collections within 1 hour of each other.
Cheers All,
Owen
