Wow, thanks. Although, it really isn't a very tough job. All you gotta do is piss people off at a record pace (which I was VERY good at, apparently). Actually, it's the paperwork end of it that I personally didn't care for, but that's pretty much an issue with any Director of Maintenance job. You do get to mess around with some cool old airplanes though.

I was going to be a lathe operator at a toothpick factory, but as it turns out, I could only make square toothpicks. But now I think I'm going to open up a business selling used artificial limbs.....I'm gonna call it the Second Hand Second Hand Store. What do ya' think?

Actually, I'm just going through my parts here at Austin Acres, and trying to find buyers for all my stuff....one piece at a time. I've been trying to get someone to buy this Hellcat wing I've got, AND let me be the one to restore it. That would be a fun project. The PBY in my back yard is supposedly leaving soon, so I'll be spending a little time with it, albeit, not much. I'm also about to start rebuilding the P-38 horizontal stabilizer tips I've got, so they are more "sellable."

It's just one project at a time, until all the inventory is gone, I reckon.

Man, that is like my dream job. All I lack are half of the qualifications. Can the position be put on hold while I go get the A&P and warbird experience? Seriously, this is my kind of job. Looks like I better get busy living, or busy gettin those requirements under my belt. I'll check back in a few years and see if the position is open.
