The Mustang has no identifying markings on it, all primer. It was a cool find none the less. I have some pics if anyone is interested.

And here you go. Not the best, but not much I could do standing outside the hanger. I know about the other Mustang there. I actually sat in it once when I was a little kid (1985 or so?) The owner used to be a friend of my dads. I wish he would bring the stuff that lives in that hanger out, I remember there being a Staggerwing Beech, a Stearman, and the P51 all in the same hanger. None of those should be hidden away for decades.

Here is a link to the WIX board. http://warbirdinformationexchange.or...ic.php?t=29393 Pretty wild to see a B17 there. I so wish I had known about it.

"Steady on that rudder." Boy that runway is a tad narrow for a B-17! Picts taken at Schellville.

                  Re: B-17

I heard they both took off and landed on the grass on the side of the runway. Since it was a successful trip in and out, they might come back as a stop over that is away from the spotlight. Perhaps a few of us might get to see the spectacle again in the future.

Here was today's offerings. Yes I stopped the prop on the T6, sorry, its a decent point and shoot digital camera, I didn't have time to go in and change the capture/shutter speed, he was rolling as I got out of the car.

You didn't stop the prop (wouldn't have mattered if you had) and you captured the moment with the tools you had at hand and then you came here and shared....

                      Re: B-17

I'm not sure why those shots came out grainy. Had I been shooting film, it would be one thing but this is strange. Usually the camera takes pretty good shots with no grain to them.

The T6 is one that I haven't seen before. I think it might be from Santa Rosa. Its camo, with british markings (making it a Harvard. if we really wish to split hairs.) When I went past on my way out to Sears Point about 30 min earlier, the P40 was out but the Harvard was no where to be found. (Could have been blending in...) When I came back, I got out of the car just in time to see him start the take off roll.

Saw the Liberty Bell take off from Paine Monday around 450pm, sure was nice to see something different out the window of the stall.

Aluminum Overcast is back up here this weekend. I just happened to walk outside and looked up to see her enter the pattern. I will run out to the airport after work and see if there is anything else interesting out there.
