          Re: My Bud Anderson Interview

          Nice interview!

Nice article about you in the San Jose Mercury news today too Evan.

Did you have a fun ride in the B-17?

Seems to be much more willingness on the part of these gracefully aging WWII vets to share their experiences.Get as many interviews and write as much as you can now, before you know it they will be gone and the historic stories will go with them.

Keep up the great work.I'm sure it is appreciated by more then those who post their gratitude.

              Re: My Bud Anderson Interview

Thanks guys! I'm glad you liked it. Bud is a great guy.

Brian, the Collings Foundations was great. I rode in the B-24 with Bill Getz, a WWII pilot I interviewed. (He flew a tour in B-24's then another one in Mustangs as a scout!)
My dad was in the B-17 with Jack Burke - another guy I interviewed. He flew 27 missions at a ball turret gunner and the last time he'd been in a B-17 was May 13th 1944. So it was his 65 years and two days anniversary of his last mission.
Flying in the planes was great, but doing it with these guys was the best!

check out this video and article from the San Jose Mercury
