Last I heard is that she's in the Sanders other hanger waiting on a plan to get her out of Ione. I don't think she's flown since Mike brought her home from Reno last year, so I don't think she'll see Reno for this year at least.

Well the Bear does need a new race motor, and the one on Fury would make a good choice.
While similar in some respects, the motors are different. It will not just "bolt" onto the bear, because the accessory sections are configured differently.
As far as I know the new owner/team no nothing about the systems in the plane and no one has flow it since Reno, so I’m guessing they’ll wait till after Reno this year to do anything with it. I was hoping to see her raced this year as well but with the short amount of time and the thrash to get the Bear ready, I just don’t see anything happening with Fury for now. Plus, they only have a relatively small crew so Rod would basically need a whole other crew just to field Fury. The Pops crew was huge with everyone split up during Reno just to handle all three airplanes.

I had a good laugh when Kerch stated one time that "racing 232 is like launching the space shuttle".... So true! It's not like gassing up the buick and going around the pylons.
