LiveAirShowTV to Broadcast Hall of Fame Ceremony
July 13, 2009 – Pflugerville, TX – LiveAirShowTV is proud to announce a first ever Internet Broadcast of the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF) Enshrinement Ceremony, from Dayton, Ohio. Long recognized as “America’s Oscar Night of Aviation,” this annual event honors the achievement of legendary air and space pioneers. “This is an event that not everyone is able to attend”, says Jeff Lee LiveAirShowTV’s President. “Our goal is to bring the best air shows from across the country, as well as unique aviation events that allow people from all over the world to participate.”
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes Space Shuttle Astronaut Eileen Collins, former Cessna CEO Russell Meyer, Jr., the late Astronaut Ed White II, and legendary film actor and WWII bomb group commander Jimmy Stewart. Additionally the Apollo Astronauts will be honored with the NAHF Milton Caniff “Spirit of Flight” Award in a ceremony the night before. That program’s panel discussion with thirteen attending astronauts, led by moderator David Hartman, will be broadcast during the dinner portion of Saturday night’s enshrinement ceremony. Lee said, “Viewers will get to see both historic events during the same broadcast.”
NAHF Executive Director, Ron Kaplan, pointed out that this year’s ceremony weekend takes place right in the middle of the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission. “As the world marks the technological milestone of putting man on the lunar surface, we are delighted to celebrate the human side of the equation by hearing from over a dozen of the astronauts who were there, including Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Gene Cernan,” explained Kaplan. “The next best thing to being here in the Birthplace of Aviation will be viewing both memorable Hall of Fame events on LiveAirShowTV,” Kaplan said, adding, “We are excited at this opportunity to share our honorees’ stories and the mission of our organization with a global audience.”
The broadcast can be seen live starting at 7:00pm Saturday July 18, (Eastern) by going to www.LiveAirShowTV.com Archived versions will be available for viewing after the live event.
