It's actualy called the "Lear Solution". The Final thing was typo by a secretary internal to the program.
I remember, it ignited a bruhaha over the term as well...
Has anyone heard whether this project was for real? I have heard yea/nay from reputable sources, so have taken the wait-and-see approach to whether I believe it or not. Certainly would be exciting tho.
GOOD! I'll look you up as i have some photos for you that we talked about last year. (Stiletto, Furias, and Sumthin' Else)
Yeah that would be awesome!! I'm planning Wed-Monday, but it all depends on work schedule. It's pretty fluid right now and when they say jump, I ask "How high?"

Yep....from what I know, she had no idea of the "Final" connotation and it certainly stirred up a hornets nest internally.
As far as being real or not, all I know is that the checks didn't bounce.
dont forget Sani Huts twin Mustang, will make its debut as well
You obliviously have not been keeping up to date with the project.
Sani-Hut had to scrap the F-82 project because of wing spar corrosion problems.
Last year they traded the majority of the project to a local air museum to be restored for static display.
In trade they received a P-38 fuse and a pair of F-100 Super Sabre wings. Most of the work has been completed and they have recently bought a pair of Griffon engines from someone in Bakersfield.
They have both a set of cut down P-3 props and a set of counter-rotating props.
Test flights should start late this year and at that time they will determine which prop combination will be used for racing.
Thank you for your continued interest in this project.

Victor... are they still going with "the blue solution" as the name?
No, there are legal problems with Tidy Bowl.
They did pickup major sponsorship funding from Charmin and their new slogan will be "we're gonna wipe your a$$"

So for the counter rotating props test, are they gonna make up a new set of rotating components (cams, crank, supercharger impeller, etc.) to come up with the backwards rotating engine or just swap it end to end and hang the nose case where the supercharger used to be and vice versa. C'mon Vic, we need insider info here

It is very obvious to me that they would in fact have a contra set up on the port side boom and the p-3 prop on the starboard boom in order to create a turning affect with little to no control surface drag.....
