Wow.. the end of an era, Steve Dilda just called to tell me he was on his way to PDX on a trip (unfortunately, I'm at the beach) but also said that he's selling Felix... you'll remember, the second T-6 in the former Dilda family, it served for several years as the pace plane for the T-6 class..

In '02 the airplane was rated the third most original T-6 at AirVenture..

More info on http://t-6.com/ and I think the price there is wrong.. Felix will find a new home for a bit less than the price on the linked site.

That almost seems like a steal for a classic warbird, compared to what general aviation birds are going for today:

Probably, I think the reason Steve asked me to put it on AAFO was that he wanted to reflect a price reduction.... rather drastic one but I want to confirm I heard him correctly before I put it on...

That sort of leaves it hanging.. Steve and Mary are divorced, both still fly for a major box carrier, though Mary no longer flies airshows and as we all know, no longer races. Both are missed at the races and air show circuit.

Let's not take this part of the discussion any further, as this involves the deepest part of private personal lives of individuals and I hope we can respect that.
