  • Are Congrats in order for Jon Sharp?

I got my monthly NAA letter via email earlier this week and discovered a familiar name listed for awards. Would this be in reference to a record breaking air race pilot?

I went to the FAI website where they explain why the award is given, but no specifics as to the 2009 award. Congrats Jon!

I hope I'm "in order". If I am in order, well...more details please!

    From the letter:

Wouldn't Sharp's NXT 409 mph make it the fastest civilian piston engine airplane?
