Today the fuselage and wing of #1 were married in the sunny afternoon light.
Photographer from a Classics, Air magazine was presant today taking advantage of the two aircraft being outside during a nice visit from the sun.
All repairs complete, wings attached to the fuselage, what now remains for the team to do is paint the new skins and install what appears to be everything one could possibly remove from an aircraft.
Gear actuator ( the culprit ) replacements, to be machined by independant manufacturer, still in the bidding process.
#2 aircraft on its gear sporting a zinc primer fashon with greens and yellows only a mother could love. Landing gear for the #2 came from a S-2 and the tires are a bit oversized. The tires touch eachother as they retract.
next flight prospect: late June
