just heard on channel 2, Strega took off after hours on a test flight and had to land immediately. Engine issues!! Oil!! Doesn't sound good!

Are there more silver races. If Bear wins can he advance to the Gold and will he? He finished a distant second today behind Riff Raff. Ran 3rd until the last lap. Is he breaking in a new motor...what's their strategy?

Voodoo and Ridge Runner III had the cylinder banks off. They were going back together around 3:30 PM.

Galloping Ghost did not make the RARA extended deadline this morning and will not race. She looks hot...too bad!!

Is this the year for Czech Mate?

He made at least 3 laps up high. Didn't seem in any hurry to come down when he did.

Don't you just love this drama!!!!!!

Bear quals at a really crappy speed, Stevo and Strega blister it, we have high hopes of a great year for the inlines... then "issues" start cropping up.. then today.. Keenum looks great, bear "loafs" around and gets a second.. (I think there were some cuts to get him there).. now we're wondering if Strega's hurt, Voodoo maybe hurt, "The Pig" (Ridge Runner) is hurt and.. quote from Rare Bear pit.. "our guys are drinking beer in the daylight for the first time in years"... they are fat, happy, eating BBQ....

How much of this is real and how much is "just word from the pits?"

Don't ya just love this week in the high desert!

Wayne, I cordially invite you and anyone from the air racing community to stop by Third St. tonight. It's Blues Jam night. Come see Hans Oberev light up the drums around 11PM. It gets underway around 10:30. It's on 3rd St near the railroad tracks on the West side of Virginia St. Best place to park is on the road by the Sands casino and walk over. It's a good time. Bring those Bear folks since they got nothin better to do. Kathleen Rogers from the Strega camp, you too.

Oh man.. I'm about 10 minutes from being alseep.. Went to see the NPBS "Pylon Chasers" documentary presentation here at the hotel. Bought the DVD, ($20.) tax deductable and it supports the local PBS. Maybe this will go national! That would be very cool!
