Seeking info on an older Bipe.

Hi I am an RC modelest and have a unique plane that I am seeking information, history and photos if any on a certain full scale closed cabin Bipe called the "Beercat" it was a racer built I believe in the late 60's by Robert (Bob) Speed out of Vegas. The wings are staggered opposite then the average bipe, the forward wing is set to stall before the trailing wing.

If anyone knows anything about this air craft please let me know.

Bob Speed's Beercat is the subject of a Dusty Carter 3 view drawing in Reed Kinerts Racing Planes and Air Races volume VI.I saw the airplane at Reno in 1970 but it did not compete, I remember there being some question to the visbility requirments.

Biplanes

According to John Tegler-

Bob Speed finished 3rd in the 1969 Silver race in Beercat,
and 2nd in the Silver in 1970.

1971 was the first year I attended, so I cant say I saw #9.

Bill Warwick's #97 "Hot Canary" was another negative stagger bipe that raced....was very competitive!

I found this bit of info on a site.

F8F Beercat 196? = 1pCB; span: 16'0" length: 17'5" load: 304#. Took third place in Consolation biplane race at Reno 1969 (p: R E Speed).

If I understand this correctly then this would make my little 50" a 1/4 scale.

HI, MY NAME IS DUDE SPEED AND MY DAD, ROBERT (BOBBY) SPEED WAS THE ORIGINAL BUILDER OF THE F4F BEERCAT. MY DAD PASSED AWAY THIS PAST SUMMER AND I HAVE INHERITED THE BEERCAT. SINCE I AM NOT A PILOT, WE MAY BE INTERESTED IN SELLING IT ALONG WITH OTHER PLANES THAT HE HAD. THESE INCLUDE A PITTS SPECIAL, SKYBOLT, N3N AND HARVARD MARK IV.
