  • rare bear cowling qustion

i am building my rare bear and since no body makes a DC-7 in 1/48 would the cowling from a F7F tigercat work it seems to have the right shape any ideas out there??

since its custom on the bear...

..it doesn't matter what you start with. the opening between the cowl and the spinner was substantially reduced over the years in the quest for speed.

Wouldn't you suppose that any cowling that went over an R-2800 would be worth looking at?

Or, perhaps more appropriately, an R-3350?

              I dunno, BC7cube. What Jet1 said.

Whatever you start with is going to require judicious modification, so maybe you should just get a kit of a Super Connie or a C-54 just so's you have four "blanks" to begin with.
