Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

Nice shots. There is no "wrong" way to take a picture, just different ways of setting one up. (OK I guess a wrong way would be if your F-stop was off and the focus was off as well, but thats getting hard to do these days.) If you shoot enough pictures eventually you will find you have a certain style, its just a matter of finding out what it is and perfecting it. Keep shooting and you will find what works for you.

That Skymaster (N1166B) sports an interesting paint job, even if the S/N (2-1383) doesn't make sense. I don't know when O-2s were manufactured, but in any event ...

          52-1381/1386 Convair RB-36H-55-CF Peacemaker
          62-0209/1783 Martin AGM-12 Bullpup missiles
72-1370/1383 cancelled contract for Cessna T-37C

And the shot of the Mitchell is sweet (I love B-25s) except somebody parked that box-kite in front of it, got in the way.

Is that a real plane? Does someone actually fit in there?

Couldn't run down that Cessna, its military history. They were all built between 1967 and 1970, but the FAA site gives a S/N [5793] that doesn't go anywhere. They also say it was built by Luscombe (?).

The O-2 is real. The airplane is an actual combat veteran and is owned and flown by a very nice little lady who has been doing this airshow thing for a long time.

BTW, the paint job is accurate too. Some O-2's were painted this way and in big red letters had THE FAC written across the top of the wing.

I think JHall meant the F1.

If you have a good s/n for the Cessna, I'll look it up on Joe Baugher's site. It's always fun to learn the bio of a particular airframe.
