Don Davidson P-51?

Does anyone happen to have any photos of Don Davidson's P-51 N51EA while racing (or with the race number on it)? I want to say it was at Reno 1983 and 84...maybe even ran at Moosejaw in 84 too. #27? It was painted as "Double Trouble", but eventually repainted as "Double Trouble Two" and sold to someone in Switzerland.

I think Don may have stopped racing because he hit some bad turbulance on the course on year and really wrenched his back hard.

Neal? Bucky? Anyone?

The announcer told the crowd that Don wrenched his back and John Dilley flew it in last race 1985.

I have some B&W pics some were but i dont have my scanner in fact i do have them putting the number on the plane it was in the Nag Rag back in 1985 if you seen that. Shawn

Here's what I had Jim-It looks like he had Double Trouble on one side of the cowl and Mangia Pane on the other-same aircraft ? Sorry for the poor quality but I had to scan complete pages from an old album.

So my guess is the markings were yellow on black one year and black on yellow the next?

That I cannot answer -- I didn't know Mr. Davidson, and didn't pay much attention to the airplane on the ground. I don't seem to have any color shots of it at all...

Wasn't "Mangia Pane" Tigers first P51 that he raced?
