The BEAR IS BACK!

Well there's a lot to tell, and since we're still in Reno and we've been "Workin" our butts off for four days, we're gonna keep it short and just say a few words.. and if time allows, post up a few pix..

I'm here to tell ya that the BEAR IS BACK.. the team did some rough calculations today after after the VP Racing Fuel runs and it looks like she did a 475mph lap without pilot or racer breaking a sweat..

Man, that airplane sounds sweet at power!

Congratulations to one of the finest teams in any sport! And a huge thanks to the Dwelle's and Critical Mass Air Race Team (more on this later when we can do the story justice) for helping make this weekend possible!

Not Bear but a pretty sweet shot anyway

While we were the guests of RARA to in the quest to get the "Rare Bear Pylon Shot" we had a little time to practice.. Dr. Brian Adams brought his airplane down really close for us and this was the result

What a great ending to an extremely busy week. Sunday came with Mike Brown and his posse leaving early and heading home, leaving us the race course basically all to ourselves. Bill Hickle made a comment to Lyle that he couldn't ever remember in the history of the Bear ever being the only airplane down on the course. It was very quite on the field, With no other airplanes airborne at that time, until the sound of John Penney coming down the chute to enter the course. And then the valley got louder and louder and louder as John wicked her up!! Makes all the work worth while!!! My sincere thanks to all the crew for all the hard work this week guys.
