  • O/T...Unusual aircraft configurations - Flying Testbeds

A blog/article over at Aviation Week features some great photos of several familiar aircraft with extra powerplants mounted on them for testing reasons. Quite fascinating.

(The Falcon 20 with full afterburner blazing is especially noteworthy!)

Good Find AD!! If that doesn't get Aerion's a$$ moving on their SSBizJet, I don't know what will. I can see a lot of operators have just become glassy-eyed with a sudden tightening of the pants....
Eddie's Airplane Patch-Birthplace of the "Sonic Boom".......and I'm reminded every friggin' day!

Great link, thanks for sharing. I used to regularly see the white and blue 720 operated by Honeywell/Garrett out of Sky Harbor in Phoenix. Very interesting and I was sad to read the airplane is no more. Also, the Canadian B-47 came as quite a surprise!
