The French NXT is just about ready for first flight testing. I am heading over to Southern France next week to complete the first flight testing!!! Stay tuned! If all goes well the French NXT "Big Frog Racing" will be headed over to compete in the Sport Class this year. Turbo Diesel

Newbie question,
If the plane and pilot are not at PRS, well atleast the pilot, how will it race? I thought you had to have a licence to race and it has to be for the same class as the airplane you flew at PRS?

The pilot qualified at PRS last year. They are good to go.

I was there at the show on Saturday. A surprise visit. Not listed on the schedule.

Someone needs to tell their painter that they're racing at Reno and not Mojave...

During five days, high performance aircraft are going to compete in multi-laps races over the Nevada desert. Up to 8 aircraft per race will have only one obsession: fly low, fly fast, turn left! Ten laps will make it possible to designate a winner in each of the six aircraft categories.

That's Reno, by far the fastest race in the world.

They should re-phrase that to the fastest MOTORSPORT.

The fastest RACE was the space race, which the USA won with it's Saturn V (5) rocket at a top trans-lunar speed of 24,207 mph, listed as the fastest speed ever traveled by a human (relative to the Earth that is).



Heh-heh. I can't wait to see how fast that turbo-diesel can go. I've seen incredible things done with cars & trucks.
