A fast trip to Igor Sikorsky Memorial Airport near Bridgeport, CT last Saturday to see five flying Corsairs was worth the trip. The B25 "Panchito" was also flying and an airshow crowd pleaser. An F4U, painted with the infamous Pappy Boyingtons' "Lulubelle" who had stood watch at the airport gate for 35 years static, was taken down from her perch and is now in the early stages of restoration.

Connecticut Corsair http://www.connecticutcorsair.com/ provided some interesting entertainment with their trailer mounted "Corn Cob" Pratt & Whitney R4360 they started and ran up to 1500 RPM. My camera lens still has oil on it but I got a cool video of the engine running.
