You going to be at RENO this year? I'd like to finally meet you after all these years... I remember back when you were still a "student pilot" in the USAF and how proud we all were that you shared the experiences with us!

Thank god (or the great spirit) that we have people with the drive to pursue and accomplish what you have done in service to this great country.

Thanks, Wayne. Yes, fortunately this year the schedule that Uncle Sam sets for me allows more than just a little time at the races. Two years ago I drove up from Nellis to be there just about 18 hours, then I had to drive back to 'work'!

I should be there starting Thursday, and I'll be there through the end of Sunday. I'd love to say hello, definitely.

Hoping to be a NAG volunteer either in the pits or with the school kids doing tours...depends on how my schedule works out.

EDIT: What's really crazy, Wayne, is all of that student pilot journal stuff was 12 years ago! How time flies, literally.
