Re: Parrothead...
Man you guys get to cheat You get all the prime places to shoot from and the rest of us have to make do from way outside the flight line. I guess if one had a 1000mm lens and was on top of the hangers on the west end of the pits, you could get lucky, but still...
Nice shot.
Sorry, I'm having a case of press pass envy.

Re: Parrothead...
Will -- Guilty as charged. Of course we have to justify the access by bringing to Reno many thousands of dollars worth of gear and years of experience and then spend weeks after Reno dealing with thousands of shots and getting them out for publication (hopefully)...
Plus, we never get to hear those great Reno announcers, and so never know what's going on!
Having said all that, I know well how blessed and lucky I am to be out there. It really is the best seat in the house...

Re: Parrothead...
You know Bill, I had never heard that phrase til Sunday this year! Shows how out of touch I really am. Out on Pylon 5 during pilot introductions before the cancellation one of the photogs wanted to hear the announcer, so our driver turned on the radio.
Boy is that one lame...

Re: Parrothead...
Wow.....those are GREAT!
Thanks you guys for all of the time and effort you put into getting these great photos...I've said it before but without the work you put into capturing these moments of Air Racing our histories would be lost.
As far as the best seat in the house? I'd say Steven gets that award!
