I don't know nothin' about nothin' but If a military did have a plane with an ultra classified performance envelope, I dont think they would be trying to set records with it and let everyone know what it can do.

Also, with the multiple issues with the F-35 and the end of F-22 production...is the F-15S Silent Eagle a viable option?

Viable option for what? For the US fighter inventory?

I think Silent Eagle is a lot more "show" than "go". The idea that you could stealth up an F-15 is laughable.

Right that sounds ok. But let's say China wants to start exporting their new J-20 and gets a pair of brand new engines and does supercede all F-15 records by far ( like F-15 did Mig-25 ) then in order to market or sell a plane or two USA might have to publish numbers too.

I am not saying J-20 is even likely to supercede any of the F-15 records. Just speculated with things that might be ahead.

In few decades there may be only electric powered UCAVs in the air..who knows.
