B-17 over Sacramento April 11 2011 @ 1:30pm
Just flew over my house. She looked like she was leaving Mather Airfield heading north towards McClellan Airfield. I checked EAA & Collings and nothing is "supposed" to be here til mid May. It sure looked like Aluminum Overcast tho.

Okay, this explains what I saw Sunday morning while driving home from SFO. I was crossing the Bay Bridge and could see off to my left a large four engine aircraft. Obviously, I was trying to be a safe driver while stealing looks at the aircraft to try and identify. I thought it was a B17 and could not be sure (spousal unit does not appreciate my airplane rubber-necking while driving).

Speaking of the Collings Foundation, they will be in AZ from 11/18-11/27 making stops at four locations; Will Whiteside will be here from the 18th-22nd giving rides in the P-51C.
