Air Race Weather

Any of you out there have a long range weather forecast for race week. After 35 years I always bring clothes for 4 seasons.

The extended forecast is for late summer/early fall average temperatures; possibility of daytime temps in the low to mid 90's with sun and wind; cool evenings with probability of frost overnight; chance of rain and snow at times. Sounds like normal air race week weather to me. You're all set, don't repack.

all week temps from 55 - 82 degrees thru the course of the day, wind calm in the morning, picking up to the west/southwest at about 10 knots in the afternoon, clear skies, 30 mile visibility.

Just like it always is.

Its been a cool summer, I am expecting a cool (weather wise) NCAR week

In 1978 it was snowing sideways :-)

Its Reno, 5,000 ft elevation - 4 layers is the normal plan.

I bet it will be perfect weather this year based on how the last month has been.

It's way too soon to predict race week weather. Better check NOAA a couple days before you leave for the dance.

It could be 100 degrees, or it could be snowing.....or both!

Weather forecast? Kiser to have one of those weather rocks in the pits. It was the most accurate forecast I could find.

Too soon to tell. Give me another week or so and I'll take a stab at it. I don't mind saying that last year I predicted heavy wind.
