I wouldn't have nearly as big a problem with the volume of the P.A. system if the words coming out of it didn't suck. The announcers are incompetent. Frank Kingston Smith knows less about Air Racing then I know about quantum mechanics. If the announcers had the slightest clue about the topics they're discussing, and possibly even had some rare incite into the racers, it might be enjoyable to listen to, but since they don't, they aren't. Makes me long for the old'n days of Sandy.

I have made my displeasure known to RARA, and been told over and over again that the general audience enjoys and even loves ( Their words, not mine ) Frank and the gang. I guess I will just have to continue to block them out as best I can while sitting in the first row of Box seats, dead center, right in front of the speakers. FML. God I love the pits.

          Merlin Fan,

A big thank you and all those up front for blocking some of that noise.

We're normally just 20' to the side of and 3 rows behind that announcer.

All I know is, without access to the multiple coolers stocked with a plethora of oat soda's and barley pops, It wouldn't nearly as easy to ignore them.
