Can someone who's going please be sure to bring a camera? Victor has had his artwork printed. I'm going to pick it up, frame it and bring it with me to the memorial. He'd like to have photos of it at the memorial service, and my camera is dead.

I have no idea what kind of coverage the local media will do on this that I can get on the web, but I am sure the folks here that are going will do a great job...thank you....
Details on the memorial for those who are going. I'm to go early, and try to find a spot for Victor's poster. I may need some help getting the poster - it's framed at like 28"x36" - since they want us to park at Reno High, and they'll likely have the area around the park roped off.
Hopefully, I can find a spot close enough to drop it off and then go park, but just in case, does someone want to meet me at Reno High at say 5:30?
Public memorial this evening for victims of Reno Air Races crash
A public memorial service for victims of the Sept. 16 crash at the National Championship Air Races will be held at 6 p.m. today at the Idlewild Park arboretum in Reno. The arboretum is located at the east end of the park between the pond on Idlewild Drive and the Truckee River.
The city plans to dedicate a tree in the arboretum to victims.
City officials are asking people to park at Reno High School, 395 Booth St. Participants can walk or take a free RTC shuttle to the park.
At the service, volunteers will hand out candles, and a large banner will be available for mourners to sign.
Victor, the poster was a hit. It drew everyone to it.
Someone local should tape Channel 8 news, as they spoke to both RamJets and I. I don't currently have the ability to tape things off the tv... Hopefully, we made you proud, Wayne.
Hey, Sandra & Split-S, we made it back to our room, but not in time to see any of the news footage. I hope someone recorded it. Sandra put on quite a dog-and-pony show. She did "The Effort" proud. I just hope they broadcast it!
The turn out was good, but frankly, I was a little disappointed. I would estimate about 200-300, including "security" and "media". But, everyone there were very, very attentative and reverent for the occassion!!!!! And, Victor, yeah the growd went gaga over the poster!!!!!
I'll post pics upon my return home late Monday. Meantime, it was was a real pleasure to meet Sandra and Split-S, face-to-face. I look foward to meeting others soon.
how do you post a picture? I looked up what a URL is!! I have a picture of last nights memorial service which is now located on my computer. It's a good pic with Victor's picture visible over the shoulder of several red jacket retired Marines and Mayor Bob Cashell in the upper left with families.
