I'm becoming more of a Strega fan all the time. Remember 7 or 8 years ago, after Dwight's illness, when big roundies were taking everything in sight and the prevailing wisdom was that Merlins were for air shows but couldn't hold together in a serious race? Remember when Strega broke every year?

Merlins are back! And Race 7 is clearly the class of the field right now.

Plus, I really am coming to like her new generation driver a lot.

And I have to agree with the commentary as well. Plane and pilot seem a natural fit. I'm sure they will be pushed in future years but until someone dethrones them...they are the champs!

The top spot kind of went Strega's way when Dago stopped racing. I don't know if anyone could touch Dago in circa 2003 form....I really wish they'd bring her back....
