We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Re: Where are they now? Oldies

Nice pics of Roto-Finish Special. It is indeed special to me as it won the first Reno I attended.

As a side observation: I noticed it's running a more pointed spinner than the typical bullet-nosed P-51 spinner I also noticed in the gallery of
"Galloping Ghost build" that at one time, GG was running the same pointed nose. Also, IIRC, Mickey Rupp ran one on his racer. Any advatage/disadvantage to this nose as opposed to the standard item?

I don't recal GG wearing it, but Cloud Dancer did.
Also Miss Foxy Lady had one when she first appeared (that first year with the pointed spinner, tiny canopy, black paint and all I think it was one of the hottest looking racers ever).
I have heard they don't help.
      Sure look cool though!

I posted this on another post but this seems to be a better post to post. Taken in the 60's with a Poleroid. Thanks, KC

The "Sponsored by My Wife" is a great story!

Was supposed to be "Sponsored by the City of Bellingham, WA".

Did 15 become Risky or Miss Fit later on?

Was that the same year or did he race 2 years in that scheme?

At various times between Mojave and Reno, Darryl had both--a brace of oxen, and a single horse--pulling the Bearcat on the ramp.
