Some of the movies on our movie of the week list are sort of hard to track down. I want to make sure I'm not picking movies that no one can find to watch for our discussions. Should I remove any of these movies from the list because they are too hard to chase down?

Strategic Air Command...have only seen it on VHS, not DVD. Is Starfighters on DVD?

spacegrrrl: You're missing "Toward the Unknown" (1956), starring William Holden, Lloyd Nolan and James Garner in his first big role. It was filmed, in part, on location at Edwards with FTC's cooperation and incorporates actual footage of the XB-51, the X-1A and the X-2. (You're also missing your spellcheck! )

I can vouch for the fact that 'Strategic Air Command' is available on Netflix streaming.

And I know I watched 'The Dam Busters' on Netflix streaming sometime within the past year, so it may still be there (titles do come and go from Netflix Streaming, but not often).

So, there I was, minding my own business mullin' around in some old boxes and, lo 'n behold, what do I find....VHS tapes of

BOMBERS 52 (Efrim "Simbals" Zimbalist, Jr., Natalie "Va-Va-Va-Voom Wood, and Karl "Buldog" Malden)

A GATHERING OF EAGLES (Rock "The Ummm, Nevermind" Hudson and Rod "Fancy-Pants" Taylor)

and,

MEN OF THE FIGHTING LADY (Van "Manboy" Johnson, Walter "Coo-Coo" Pidgeon and assorted others)

What a treat to see these oldies. Gotta have 'em your library.
