I need a drawing/picture of the deadlines

My wife and I are giving a talk about Reno2011 to our local pilots group on Sat
I need something that shows exactly how the deadlines are layer out
We are stressing the Air Race family and the uniqueness of our group and the reason we sit in the snow/rain/wind and love every minute of it

I've heard it is about a 1/4 mile - I know that is not what you are looking for.....

But, follow this link and zoom in to fill your screen from the ariel view, there is a scaling chart in the lower left hand corner. Interpolate that with another known chart of the course and you should be able to get within 10-20 feet.

Using Google Earth you can measure the distances. The racing corridor between Home Pylon and the Dead line is approx. 365 ft. From the dead line to the bleachers is approx. 1450 ft. The boxes do not show up . The distance from them to the dead line can be subtracted from the reach out in front of the bleachers. I do not know the accuracy of Google earth but it should be close. I have compared it with actual measurements at the field that I would be working at next from the measurement on Google earth.

The 'Dead Line' I was referring to was the line that the racers were NOT to cross in the crowd direction.

Correct. Which is the centerline of runway 8/26

Following my posting this, quickly reviewed the diagram. The word "DEAD LINE' are printed centered on and within the runway width. So, is the centerline the Dead Line or is it the southern boundary of runway ?

Hate it when I don't read the book first

Last sentence of Section VIII reads "THE SOUTH DEADLINE FOR ALL CLASSES SHALL BE THE SOUTH EDGE OF RUNWAY 8/26."
