Rene Quintal has been painting Furias w/assist fm the crew @ the Sanders Aero Eagle's Nest facility in Ione, CA. & completion unveiling is expected in the near future (-photos forthcoming). Btw-Rene was responsible f/the great paint work on Michael Brown's hot Sea Fury racer- #232-"September Fury".

Here's a selection of images for reference on 'the new look', including a couple shots at Reno 2011, along w/a few photos of some newly-painted parts, courtesy of Furias team member-Ben McCarter.

She will be stunningly-beautiful & FAST!

Excellent...looks like the tail is staying true to the renderings. I like the proposed job...gives a little nod to the old-school schemes during the Lloyd Hamilton days. I'm excited to attend my FIRST Reno NCAR! (and go roundies )

You're certainly welcome, Robert & thank you in return f/the kind kudos on the Race #15 pylon shot fm Reno 2011 (-coming fm such an excellent photographer such as yourself, that's much-appreciated). The light was soft due to alot of haze in the sky (possibly fm range fires at the time), which also softened-up the hard shadows fm the sun & kept the color contrast looking real good.

Hey Jibus ~ think there's a strong chance you & alot of other race fans will be won-over 4-sure, when Furias makes her debut at Reno sporting her new fancy feathers. She'll look even finer, if Team Furias does well in trophy competition!

Here's 3 more Furias paint progress photos taken just yesterday (-Thur. 6/7/12) by Team Furias crew member~ Ben McCarter, documenting master painter-Rene Quintal's color & final clear-coat application on Race #15's fuselage. (-That's Rene Q at work, standing-proudly alongside Furias in his preferred-'paint booth' @ Eagle's Nest )

Rene & Ben put in alot of work ultra-fine grit sanding to achieve that super-slick gloss finish you're seeing in the last two photos! 'Lookin'-good, huh? Great job, Guys & we're really-anxious to see the finished product!!!
