Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

Thanks again for your patience,

We got to have a few other historian types around here.

I don't think it was called "Boomer" at this point. I think it was still known as "Sweets" and flown by Mickey Rupp as Race #5. Later it flew as "Old Crow", then as "Samurai".

In 1978 it was race 66 Boomer.

Here's another quiz from the Wingman archives.

Give us Race number and pilot...

Looks like the Mustang that belonged to Geroge Perez at Petaluma Ca. I didn't know he ever raced it I'd quess the year around 1970 +/-

90 degree angle of bank....that's not very efficient for as fast as that plane is going. :-)

                            I miss this plane.

Not George -- don't think he ever raced at Reno (certainly not in my time).

Brad -- I don't remember that day after all these years, but it looks to me like he was running wide and pulling to get back on the course...

Just a guess (both are much before my time...)

                                Race 5 Chuck Hall
