I would have a problem if they went beyond just calling the races something else and spent significant money "Re-Branding" the races.

A local hospital "re-branded" a few years ago because too many people thought it was a County hospital. Millions were spent. They recently did a survey and found that the public perception of the hospital had not changed. It was a colossal waste of money.

Just a thought.

Anyone ever heard of a plane called "Jelly Belly?"
Many events have sponsors and that sponsorship can change, changing the name of the event...happens all the time....
I dont care if Viagra sponsors the races as long as they come up with 10 million to do it right. (that's less than a day's profit, BTW)

I too think that a name change/possible organizational change may have been suggested by lawyers due to the pending lawsuits.

What about getting Red Bull in on the act, they do like to sponsor things that go fast and make noises like BROOOOOOM...

You could even get them to bring a certain P-38 back for a return visit!
