It looks fairly perfect for us fans. Highs in the mid to low 80's, winds w-sw 5-15. We might even get some good lookin' clouds around the end of the week (thurs, fri) for the photogs. The general word for the week will be,"Nice."

Re: Weather
Aah, but this is N. Nevada, and it's WAY to early to say what the weather will be like for the next week or two, but i like your optimism!"Racefuel, It's not just for breakfast anymore!" http://www.twracefotos.net

Re: Weather
Wayne, can you please delete any weather threads? They're bad luck.
The weather channel always says 77, winds light and variable a week out, then some yahoo comments on it an the next thing you know the forecast is for 50 degrees, winds gusting to 50. Then it snows.

Re: Weather
It can change in a minute!
BUT we have had pretty stable weather for a while now and jinx or not they are forecasting it.
So far no snow, thunderstorms, high winds, etc. next week...Race week?

Re: Weather
But that's on YOUR side of the sierras.
The Cold Springs (next to Stead) forcast is for clear and sunny through next Saturday.
Stead/Lemmon Valley/Cold Springs has been light for T-storms this year. They seem to go either South or East of us.

Re: Weather
The forecast has done nothing but get better. Still low to mid 80's. Winds less than 5 all week. Yes, this is Nevada and the weather can change dramatically depending on where you're standing but, it can also get into a locked in pattern for weeks at a time. We happen to be in one of those patterns at the moment.
If you have issues with weather forecasts, don't read them. Just go on your merry way and guess what might happen. The rest of us will use modern technology to the best of our and it's capabilities to try and be as informed as possible. You'll get your chance, smart guy!

Re: Weather
Today being an example...
Forecast changed to T-storms south of Carson. I am just south of the airport today and there are some mean looking clouds overhead and north toward Stead. My wife is going to have to cancel the afternoon swimming lessons if it gets any worse!
Live for the forecast, prepare for the opposite.
Never know...

Re: Weather
Personally, I love this weather.
But I don't have to fly in it.
