What a freakin' bummer! As far as I'm concerned the current incarnation of Furias is one of the best looking racers ever and I was really hoping for good things for her this year.

Matt had problems with the gear just after take off. They were stuck partially down, but he got them up. He did a couple laps and looked very very fast!! When landing, his right gear folded and he did a good job holding her straight. When he slowed she drifted off into the dirt then it ground looped. Since it was in the dirt, hopefully damage will be minimal. Main thing is Matt is ok!!

Wow I just heard a couple minutes ago. I had high hopes for Furias this year and I'm sure many others did as well. Hopefully the crew can get her up and running within the next couple of days. Bottom-line is... It wasn't a serious crash and Matt is alright.

Furias getting back in the show would be great. I think they are looking at a prop, nose case, and maybe powerplant....pretty long odds.

prop, nose case and possible power plant? Don't forget the landing gear malfuncion. How about the wing? I'm sure it's a scatch. 478mph! wow! What a bummer! I'm sure it would have been a threat to Strega. How about Rare Bear speeds?
