We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

with John Marlin's MB-5 replica? Any rumors floating around during the races this year?

I talked to John early in Race week. Nothing much that is visible happening with his hobby. He's done some ground runs this year, and was hoping to be able to pull it out of the hangar to do some engine runs for the crowd during Race week, but that obviously never happened.

How close to being finished is it? Does he plan on flying it?

Not real close to flying, though John says he hopes for not too long. He has money issues with the project -- things would move a lot faster with a crew working on the thing rather than mostly just John alone...

Thanks for the updated Neal, much appreciated. Makes me wonder if this one is going to end up being a big static display model! John Marlin has to be "getting up there" in years, no? I met him and saw the MB-5 when it was still in Chino, had to be '88 or '89 I guess, and he wasn't a spring chicken back then as I recall. I commend him for his vision and dedication to the project and wish him the best for its completion.
