  • SteadFast New Owner Flight/Update

The new owner of SteadFast is Patrick Cornwell (seen in photo with Will)...Will Whiteside gave Patrick his first ride and Will's last as the owner of SteadFast on Monday December 3rd...The airplane will be imported next month to Perth where it will be seen at airshows as one of the fastest planes in the sky down under...Team SteadFast accomplished so much more than most thought possible and we feel great pride in ourselves and the aircraft...SteadFast is in great hands and will show her Racing and Record Holding colors proudly for years to come.

It was a great end to the program for us!

We look forward to the next project and setting the bar even higher!!!

So, how does the new owner plan on getting his plane to Australia?

Install ferry tanks and fly it, put in in a shipping container, ship it as a whole plane, remove wings and fly it as cargo...?

Do you have an idea on how we can track it's journey? I'd like to see the gopro video on that flight condensed to 4 minutes.

Just a guess, but I'd say the same way it got here from Romania, in a crate on a ship.

Would that be in a standard shipping crate, ie 8.5' x 20-30-40' or a custom made wood shipping crate?

Why do you say that? Is it because of potential rough seas in the North Pacific Ocean during winter months?

SteadFast looks great in that pictures. I wish her the best years to come.

The next project doesnt involve the new Spitfire class at Reno and those 20 buried Mk XIVs does it? Think of the attendance figures from folk coming across the pond from England, just like they do for OSH. Hope I didnt let the cat out of the bag again.....

Im sorry to see you sell steadfast will but i can understand the reasoning you have done so much with the little yak that could and i am so glad you sold it to a aussie that means that i will finally get to see the steadfast in person here down under good luck on your future ventures
