That would be cool. Heck, I'd just be happy to see them in a Bronze race.
So the question is, who is going to build a cleaned up Mossie with a set of hot racing Merlins, and a very big boil off system (since there is a fairly large amount of room.) Imagine the look with a small racing canopy, the slots for the radiators closed off, profiled wings and the works!
Now that I think about it, the radiators are already in dirty air behind the props, would it even make a difference removing them and going with a boil-off system? I kinda get the feeling that it would be lots of added complication for not much gain. Either way, wishful thinking.
I'd just be thrilled to see a stock one sitting on the ramp at Reno this year.
