One of my customers runs a pilot truck business, and he informed me today that he's headed out to Fallon later this week to do a run to Texas. The cargo on the truck? The Bear.

Wonder what this means.

hmm, I cant see trucking the Bear to Fallon (of all god for saken places) to pick up a guide vehicle. It would require a guide vehicle from Reno/stead to Fallon. Unless they flew her there. Even then I still cant see the reason for Fallon. lol

When do they plan on heading out of Fallon, and what route are they taking to Texas. I leave Monday the 25th, if we are on the same route I will keep an eye out for her and try to take a few picks.

I have heard some of the rumors on how they are doing this. On the gear, and no outer wing panels. I call BS because I'm pretty sure it would still be too wide to transport by truck. I have heard how Lyle first transported it as only the center section sitting vertical on the firewall, no tail and even then it was a bitch. I could be wrong though.

That is going to be a long trip. Anything that wide won't be able to travel at night, and will require police escorts in some places. I just hope they don't hit anything with it, or get hit by anything on the way down.
