Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

Well, things are going to happen in rapid succession now... I'm going to do a final database backup at 2:30PM CST today. After the vBulletin team gets it - the new site should be operational "with all posts" soon thereafter. Then following a series of checks, and if all goes well, I'll post a link to the new forums here soon.

Thanks for your patience,

Dreadnought was moved on a trailer, in a banked position shown here: http://sandersaircraft.com/aircraft_...ought-move.asp

Why can't they bolt it to the top of a Twin Otter or something similar and carry it like they carry the Space Shuttle?

Nah... just use NASA'a launch pad creeper thing that used to move the shuttles (and Saturn V's) to the pad and put the tailhook back on the Bear so they can practice carrier landings on it while en route to Texas

I saw the same pic that Mike did. It's sitting on the gear on a trailer with the prop and outer wing panels removed.

              Well heres the pics.

Just got back, the Bear saw light today 3/21 a little after 1 pm.

Talking with the truckers the route will 80 east to 95, then south through to Boulder City

I just hope some drunk doesn't take the wings out making a pass. Vidiographer that Rod hired was installing a Go-pro camera on the Bear for the trip.

Bye Bear, see you in September.

Absolutely excellent work! I am doubling your salary!

Quoting a member of the former crew, "they're trucking it 1700 miles to fix something that isn't wrong"... The ball, as they say, is now in a different court. Only the future will tell the fate of this great airplane.
