Mr.Bill Larkins,
As a teenager from Cleveland I was a whatever needed helper under the wings of Jimmy DeSanto and was on the stop watch when he crashed the Curtis P60. I was wondering if you had a photo of that one. I was at Cleveland Air Races for all after WWII. So sorry I couldn't talk my Dad into buying a couple of P51s back then. Thanks & Happy Birthday.

Hello,

I do have several photos of Jimmy DeSanto and several of the aircraft he raced. He flew the F5, P60, and P-51. It is possible that if you were around him when he flew the P-51, you may be in the background.

I have lots of other photos from the Cleveland Air Races from 1948, including the mini's and Betty Skelton.
