Posts made past 02:30PM 12/30/24 won't be on the new site!

We are in the final stages of resolving the issues with the forums move to the new location. After talking with tech support, the only solution was to send him a copy of all the images. This will take time - but we know the fix SO it's only a matter of time now.

    Here is the aerial showing the Martin B-26's. For those that know photography this is sort of a miracle. It was shot at 1/100th sec in very dull weather, between 4 and 5pm, from a Piper J-3 Cub. The wonders of Adobe Photoshop do help to improve it. There are some B-25's in the very bottom of the photo.

    There were 38 Curtiss C-46's for sale as aircrsaft to fly (not scrap) at Ontario. This May 22nd aerial shot shows them lined up.

      There were several interesting types in small numbers at Ontario such as this Grumman J2F-4 (USN 1643).

        Another rare item was this Lockheed AT-18 (42-55629) trainer version of the Hudson bomber.

            One of the rarer types at Ontario was this North American P-51C, 43-25057. War Assets regulations required that the national insignia be painted out as shown here on aircraft that were to be sold.

              Another rare type was this Douglas P-70B-2-DO, 43-10230. The was the night fighter version of the A-20G. At Ontario on May 21, 1946.
