Long time photographer, but first time to Reno Air Races. Looking for any helpful hints. Mainly along the lines of where to go and what to do. Are there any areas that are better for pictures than others? General grandstands good enough? Or do you need reserved grandstands? Pit area a must see?

I'm not a photographer....and this will only be my fourth trip to Reno, but I think that the pits are a MUST see. Lots of opportunities for close up shots of the planes and their teams. You never know who you might run in to...It's worth the $ of a pit pass.
